Necklace of feathers, shells and shark vertebrae

Rose Mamuniny is one elder who has permission to use these Rainbow Lorikeet feathers and shark vertebrae pieces which she combines with necklace shells. All the materials have been gathered and prepared by Rose at Galiwinku where she lives, Northeastern Arnhem Land in the top end of Australia. The feathers and shark vertebrae are significant materials for the Yolngu community. All Roses works are collectors items and no two are the same. This necklace measures 500mm in circumference.
