Leslie Hunter
![]() Lives and works in New South Wales Leslie is inspired by the drama, and the seductive qualities of glass. She has been influence by her travels and early exposure to life in Asia, including Japan and India. Glass has become the medium through which she can channel a natural eye for design and colour, capturing these Asian influences in a luxurious and tactile form. Works are made using lampworking and kiln firing techniques. A range of glass types are used however she has a special love of funky Dichroic glass with its spectacular colours and dramatic reaction to firing. Her range of work includes richly dramatic dichroic glass bracelets to fabulous Opera length lampworked necklaces. Leslie reflects that, ...working with glass takes me to a place where creativity is immediate and everything else is blocked out. It is therapeutic and meditative – a simple joy in a complex world. Most of all I love the fact that my artwork brings beauty to other people's lives. Want to see more work by Leslie Hunter?
