Jane Bowring
![]() Lives and works in Brisbane. Jane has been engaging in a dynamic and varied jewellery practice for the past 10 years. Her practice includes carefully considered production pieces, bespoke commissions and a conceptual exhibition enquiry that is exhibited both nationally and internationally. In 2010 her work will be included in By Example, an Itami Museum of Arts and Crafts exhibition representing selected Australian contemporary practitioners in Japan. Jane works fearlessly across ideas and techniques and has an astute understanding of contemporary style. Jane has a Bachelor of Applied Art (Jewellery Design) from the University of South Australia and completed an honours year (Jewellery and Object) at Sydney College of the Arts in 2006. She was a resident at Pyrmont Studios in Sydney in 2005 before joining the cross-disciplinary Locus Studios in Surry Hills. Jane has taught jewellery and metal techniques in community education and at university level in Sydney and Brisbane. Want to see more work by Jane Bowring?
